Important Info for Ordering Plants Online
Before you buy any plants, there are some important rules we have to follow to make sure our plants stay healthy and don’t spread any pests or diseases to other states. Here's what you need to know:
Different states in Australia have rules about which plants can be sent across their borders.
South Australia (SA)
We Can’t Send:
Myrtaceae, & Vaccinium Families: This includes plants like Azalea, Rhododendron, and Blueberry.
Citrus Plants: Like Lemon, Lime, Orange, and Kumquat (these are restricted in all states except Queensland).
Gazania: A type of flowering plant.
Tasmania (TAS)
We Can’t Send:
Myrtaceae Family: Same as in South Australia.
Citrus Plants: These can only be sold within Queensland.
Gazania
Other Restricted Plants: Includes lots of plants like Alternanthera, Begonia rex, Berry Fruits, Bulbs, Lavender, Passionfruit, and many more.
Western Australia (WA)
We Can’t Send:
Myrtaceae Family: Same as in South Australia.
Citrus Plants: These can only be sold within Queensland.
Gazania
Other Restricted Plants: Same as in Tasmania.
Soil and Compost: We can’t send potting mixes and compost to WA, but Coir, Vermiculite, Perlite, and Sphagnum Moss are okay.
Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
We Can’t Send:
Acacia baileyana (Cootamundra Wattle)
Hedera helix (Ivy)
Northern Territory (NT)
We Can’t Send:
Fruit Plants: This includes plants like Blackberry, Blueberry, Mulberry, Monstera, Passionfruit, Pineapple, and more.
Special Info for Queensland Customers
Good news! If you live in Queensland, you can buy almost any plant from our store, including Citrus plants that are restricted in other states. Lucky you!
We keep our list of restricted plants up to date, but rules can change. Be sure to check back often or contact us if you’re unsure about what plants we can send to your area.
Check Your Local Rules
Some towns or areas might have extra rules about what plants are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with your local authorities if you’re not sure.
